Boom times for Burleigh Heads

A transformative $77 million project, Natura, comes amid a $1 billion development boom sweeping through Gold Coast’s Burleigh Heads.

Gold Coast based CONDEV Construction has been appointed to deliver the residential development, and demolition of an 18-year old, nine-level apartment on the site will commence next month.

Natura will rise 17 levels on a 1,011sqm site located at 112 The Esplanade, close to Burleigh Heads’ vibrant restaurant precinct and national park.

Research compiled on behalf of CBRE Gold Coast reveals Burleigh Heads has more than $1 billion in development activity either planned or underway, including more than $500 million in residential development.

Designed by Brisbane architectural firm bureau^proberts, Natura achieved record-high sales during its launch in March. Twenty-five of the project’s 33 luxury three-bedroom apartments sold on launch day, generating more than $50 million for Brisbane-based developer Spyre Group.

Spyre Group’s debut Gold Coast project, the $79 million Elysian Broadbeach, is now nearing completion, and the $25 million boutique Maya Kirra Beach is due to be completed later this year.

“To be given the opportunity to work on Natura, from the project’s conception and feasibility right through to its construction, has our team very humbled and excited,” Marais says.

Natura’s amenities will include an indoor-outdoor pool and reflexology pool, and a wellness place with infrared sauna and immersive studio for movement classes.

According to principal interior designer for bureau^proberts, “the relationship between nature and the aesthetics of the building and its internal spaces imparts a positive effect on the people who reside or visit there”.

CONDEV is also currently constructing the Magnoli Apartments at Palm Beach for Sunland Group, renowned for the Palazzo Versace and Q1 among its multi-billion portfolio of projects. 

Natura is scheduled for occupancy at the start of 2022 and its on-site display suite is open daily for private inspections.
