Proptech innovator DIVVY plans to take the pain out of parking with Justbooked, a new site that helps customers compare prices and locations to get the best value.
DIVVY offers sophisticated and comprehensive parking solutions that empower property owners, building managers and businesses to enhance the value, access and flexibility of parking assets.
Using the DIVVY app, building services teams can manage and re-configure parking bays to maximise space. And employees can view, book and free up their parking space in real time online.
Justbooked was created in response to feedback from DIVVY’s customers that parking is expensive, scarce and impossible to compare, says chief executive officer, Grant Fowler.
“Our focus is the customer journey – and that’s why Justbooked allows customers to search, compare, book and pay all on one site,” Fowler says.
“Parking has always been the most stressful and annoying part of a commuter’s journey. Justbooked alleviates some of that pressure because our customers know they’ve got the best deal, in the best location and their parking is there waiting for them when they arrive at their destination.”
Since its launch in 2011, DIVVY has disrupted the parking market, and Fowler says Justbooked incorporates “market-first features” including a “compare and book” function.
“This will develop as our inventory and parking partners grow. Our mission for Justbooked is to aggregate all booking experiences around the world.
“Parking is where we’re starting because we know it and have the DIVVY tech to make it work. But many of our inventory partners have shown interest in aggregating their other services and we hope to help them with this in the very near future.”
DIVVY has forged a partnership with Australia’s largest membership organisation, NRMA, to support research and advocacy for smarter transport.
NRMA’s Smarter Parking report, published in partnership with DIVVY in May, found 44 per cent of drivers have returned home without completing their trip because they couldn’t find a parking space at or near their destination.
“NRMA members are constantly giving us feedback on parking, and the issues parking presents to them on a day-to-day basis,” says Cormac Hodgkinson, NRMA’s chief technology officer.
“Justbooked could alleviate some of the cost and annoyances involved in trying to find a car space. Not only does Justbooked provide a pre-booking service that gives drivers the security of knowing they have a parking space waiting for them at the end of their journey, it also empowers them to compare and find the best parking deal,” Hodgkinson adds.
Justbooked is launching with parking sites in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.
