Former Executive Director of BOMA (now known as Property Council) QLD Alan Cole has sadly passed away. Cole was the Executive Director of BOMA QLD from 1985 to 1996 and during that time he worked closely with many Presidents and committee members.

Vanessa Orth has been named Managing Director of Lendlease's Australian Investment Management business.

Orth has over 20 years of senior executive experience in the real estate and aviation sectors, most recently as Chief Commercial Officer of Sydney Airport Corporation.

Her appointment as Managing Director sees her return to Lendlease, where she previously worked in Investment Management for seven years.

She will join Lendlease in August 2022.

Aso at Lendlease, Penny Ransom is starting a new position as Group Head of Investments. 

Cundall has appointed Joseph Caparotta as Principal Sustainability Consultant. He formerly worked at Stantec as a Sustainability Project Engineer for Asia Pacific buildings and has over 10 years of experience in the property industry, as well as accreditation in sustainability and property.

Kristina Kloberdanz has been named Chief Sustainability Officer at Macquarie Asset Management.

Kloberdanz will oversee the implementation of Macquarie AM's ESG commitments, including the firm's goal of investing and managing its $579 billion worldwide portfolio in accordance with net-zero emissions by 2040.

She is also in charge of expanding efforts to integrate sustainability and ESG into the firm's investing and asset management procedures.

Adam Edmunds has joined JLL’s WA Executive Leadership team. Edmunds relocated to the Perth office from Sydney earlier in the year to bolster their Work Dynamics capabilities as Senior Director. 

Perron Group has appointed chartered accountant Michael Verkuylen as their Chief Financial Officer, replacing Adam Irving who is set to become CEO and Managing Director next month. 

Verkuylen is currently CFO at Keystart having previously held the position of company secretary at BNK Bank Corporation. 

Michael Hancock has started a new role as Coordinator Planning Approvals at the City of Joondalup in Perth’s north.

Development Finance Partners (DFP), a national development and construction finance advising firm, has announced two senior recruits in its Brisbane branch.

Gary Douglas, a 30-year banking and finance veteran, has joined DFP as Senior Credit Manager. He has held top positions in NAB, Bankwest, and the private sector in Europe and Asia, as well as in funds management and private equity enterprises in Europe and Asia.

Tara Foreman, DFP's new Director of Marketing, will supervise the company's national marketing and communication functions.

Foreman was formerly the National Marketing Manager for industrial at Knight Frank Australia.

Susie Zuber, George Ashton and Carmel Given have been promoted to Associate at architectural firm Element.

Ruth Palmer has started a new position as Non Executive Board Director at Tradeswomen Australia Group.
