Property titan Greg Paramor AO joins NS Group’s board, Ray White appoints Nerida Conisbee as its first chief economist and Tom Lee joins KKR Australia.

WA-headquartered property advisory and project management firm NS Group has appointed Greg Paramor AO as an advisor to its board. Paramor has more than 45 years’ experience in the Australian real estate and funds management industry. Established in Perth in 2003 NS Group has expanded its national footprint in recent years, opening new offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Paramor is chair of investment group Leftfield Investments and mortgage manager TierONE Capital and a non-executive director of Charter Hall. He was a co-founder of Growth Equities Mutual, Paladin Australia and the James Fielding Group and CEO of Mirvac Group between 2004 and 2008; he is past president of the Property Council.

Ray White has appointed its first ever chief economist, with Nerida Conisbee taking the reins in June. Conisbee has been the chief economist for the REA Group since 2016; prior to that she was national director of research for Colliers. She's also held senior roles with JLL and Charter Keck Cramer. Ray White group managing director Dan White says Conisbee will broaden the agency’s current analysis “and explore how we can create better insights for our members and customers”.

Tom Lee has joined KKR Australia as managing director and head of Australia and New Zealand real estate. Lee will be responsible for expanding the global investment firm’s real estate strategies across the region. Lee was most recently CEO and senior advisor with corporate real estate LOGOS Group for nearly three years. Prior to that he was with BlackRock in Singapore and London for nine years, most recently as the managing director and head of real estate for EMEA. He has also spent more than a decade with Lendlease in Sydney, Brisbane, San Francisco, and London.

Investment management group Fortius has hired Marc Giuffrida to lead its capital raising. Giuffrida was most recently head of international capital for CBRE in Australia and New Zealand and was formerly the agency’s executive director for international capital markets in Singapore. He has also held roles with Knight Frank in Australia and Asia. Fortius has conducted more than $550 million in real estate and debt transactions over the last 12 months.

It’s been a big couple of weeks for The Agency, one of Australia’s fastest growing integrated real estate services companies. Geoff Lucas has joined as Group CEO and a new national commercial division has been launched. Lucas was McGrath CEO between 2018 and 2020, and worked alongside The Agency’s CEO for real estate, Matt Lahood, for eight years. The Agency’s managing director Paul Niardone will continue in his current role. Meanwhile Mark Williams, former CEO of Ray White Commercial and director of Greater China and Asia for Ray White, joins the Agency to lead the commercial business. David Price has been appointed general manager of the company’s Queensland operations.

Rick McKenzie has come on board Knight Frank’s Perth office leasing team as an associate director. He moves across from CBRE, where he was senior negotiator for advisory and transaction services in office leasing. Prior to that, McKenzie was a certified practising valuer at Opteon Property Group.
