Duo Projects continues to strengthen its team with recent promotions of Lilian Millar, Tom Boden and Ryan Spittel as senior project managers, and Sui Ann Poon as project manager. Millar, a project manager with Duo since August 2018, is currently working on the delivery of a mixed-use development in East Melbourne. Boden, who has been with Duo for six years, recently led the mixed-use development at 80 Collins Street, while Spittel is currently delivering the GMHBA Stadium Stage 5 redevelopment in Geelong, among others. Poon is currently managing the mixed-use development of a nurse training facility and residential tower in Box Hill.
ESR Australia, which manages more than A$2.7 billion of industrial and business park real estate, has appointed Matthew Lawson as deputy chief financial officer. Lawson joins ESR from Hongkong & Shanghai Hotels Limited, where he served as executive director and CFO from 2016. He was also managing director and head of real estate for JP Morgan in Asia for 11 years. The move is an important step in the succession plan for current CFO Tony Groth. Lawson will transition into the CFO position in preparation for Groth’s planned retirement in mid-2021.
After spending more than 10 years leading a large group of agency operators at CBRE, Josh Rutman has joined the JLL national capital markets team as senior director and head of middle markets and metropolitan investments for Victoria. JLL’s managing director for Victoria, Craig Shute, says the middle markets and metropolitan investments sector will be a key growth sector for JLL.
